Yes! We strongly recommend travel insurance to ensure a seamless and worry-free experience. It provides valuable financial protection and peace of mind against unexpected events that could disrupt your travel plans.
Travel insurance typically provides coverage for a variety of unexpected events and emergencies that can occur before or during a trip. Some of which can include: trip cancellation and interruption, medical emergencies, emergency medical evacuation, travel delays, cancel for any reason issues, adventure or high-risk activities, and more.
It’s important to carefully review the terms and conditions of any travel insurance policy to ensure it meets your specific needs. To ensure ample protection, a comprehensive plan is suggested.
For Domestic Travel (within the US): a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or state-issued ID, is required for travelers aged 18 and older.
- Starting May 2025, a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification (e.g., passport) will be required to board domestic flights.
- For International Travel: a valid passport is required.
- Ensure the passport has at least six months of validity beyond the return date of the trip, as many countries enforce this rule.
- Some countries also require a visa, which can vary based on the destination and the traveler’s nationality.
- For Closed-loop Cruises (departing and returning to the same US port): a passport is not always required. Travelers can use a government-issued photo ID and a birth certificate. However, a passport is strongly recommended in case of emergencies requiring air travel back to the US.
- For International Cruises: a passport is required. Most visas will be worked out by the cruise line. Steps to secure any visa will be provided by the cruise line.
